Open rim. It releases the aroma and is the shape for a martini and for shaken cocktails served without ice.
Long stem. It keeps the temperature longer and is what defines a cocktail glass.
Fluted. The relief catches the bar light and hides fingerprints on the stem.
Wave rim. An irregular line at the edge, which makes the piece show even when empty.
Coloured. It changes how the bar reads without touching any other piece.
Capacity. A shaken cocktail yields little volume — too large a glass makes the pour look small.
