What sets one bowl apart from another

The material decides where it can go; the size decides what it does:

• Enamelled stoneware. It goes in the oven, the microwave and to the table, and does not absorb the smell of strong seasoning.
• Acrylic. Light for whisking and mixing, and safe outdoors and at a table with children.
• Deep. To mix without spilling and to marinate with the liquid covering the food.
• Shallow and wide. To serve and for preparation that needs surface, like salad and resting dough.
• In sets. Nesting sizes take less cupboard and cover more situations.
• With a lid. It prepares and stores in the same piece, saving a container and a wash.
