The 2.20m Calvin Sofa has a rectilinear base, a low profile and a loose-fitting slipcover, and is upholstered in A7045, a smooth fabric of 71% cotton and 29% linen, in a natural color. The cover is removable, and the fabric is washable and pre-shrunk, so the upholstery can be cared for separately from the frame.

The seat combines D28 foam with a bonded padding layer, supported by elastic webbing and Bonnell springs; the back is made of cushions filled with siliconized fiber. It comes with 5 decorative pillows, and the recessed MDF feet stay discreet beneath the upholstered volume.

A7045 fabric: cotton and linen

A7045 is a smooth fabric made only of natural fibers: 71% cotton and 29% linen. The linen gives the weave the look that fiber is known for, while cotton makes up most of the blend. In its natural color, the upholstery is light and turns the sofa into a neutral base for the rest of the room.

On that light base, woods of every tone work, along with fibers such as straw and rattan, ceramics and stone. Pillows in deep colors, such as terracotta, olive green or blue, create contrast; in sand and ecru tones, the arrangement turns monochrome and calm.

Rectilinear design and recessed feet

The design is rectilinear, with a wide base and a low profile. The MDF feet are recessed from the base and stay discreet beneath the upholstered volume, which is what defines the silhouette. The loose pillows let you steer the arrangement: gathered in the corners, they support whoever leans back; spread along the back, they stitch the line of the sofa together.

A7045 fabric is washable and pre-shrunk, meaning it has been treated to reduce shrinkage in the wash. The cover comes off to be washed following the care instructions supplied with the product. Do not use bleach, solvents or abrasive products. For everyday care, vacuum with a soft brush attachment; if something spills, blot it right away with a clean, dry cloth.

Avoid direct sunlight and artificial light focused on the upholstery for long periods, as both can fade the fabric. Keep the sofa away from damp and salty air, and away from sharp or pointed objects or anything that could scratch or stain the upholstery.

Plump and rotate the pillows from time to time to redistribute the fiber and keep their volume. After washing, put the cover back on with the seams well aligned at the corners, so the fabric settles over the upholstery as before.
