Open rim. It releases the aroma of gin and vodka, and characterises a cocktail served without ice.
Long stem. The hand stays away from the liquid and the drink does not warm before the end.
Capacity. A shaken cocktail yields little volume: too large a glass makes the pour look small.
Fluted and coloured. The relief catches the bar light and hides fingerprints on the stem.
