What sets one fitting apart from another

The diffuser decides the light; the diameter decides the coverage:

  • Closed diffuser. It spreads the light evenly and keeps the bulb out of sight.
  • Several sockets. They cover a larger area with one fitting, for a living room or a wide kitchen.
  • Diameter. It has to be proportional to the room: too small and the corners stay dark.
  • Close to the ceiling. It does not interfere with circulation or height, which is the reason to choose a flush mount.
