What sets one piece apart from another

The handle decides how the table reads; the blade decides the use:

• Bone and mother-of-pearl handles. A handcrafted finish, with natural variation from piece to piece — what gives a table character.
• Coloured resin handles. Colour on the table without changing the china, and more tolerant of daily use.
• 18/10 stainless steel. The alloy that does not stain with acidic food or darken in the wash.
• Serving set. Spoon and fork that leave the platter together, with the same handle as the rest of the table.
• Accessories. Rests and organisers keep the table set and the drawer in order.
• Washing. A natural handle asks for hand washing; plain steel takes the dishwasher routine.
