What sets one canister apart from another

The contents decide the shape and the lid:

  • Garlic keeper. Holes that let air circulate — what stops garlic sprouting and going mouldy in a closed jar.
  • With a sealing lid. For what has to stay dry and free of outside smells: coffee, flour, seasoning.
  • Enamelled stoneware. It protects from light, does not absorb odour and brings the colour of the pan to the counter.
  • Glass. It shows the level and saves opening to check — good for what you use every day.
  • Stainless steel and wood. Counter pieces with a more neutral reading, for a kitchen without colour.
  • Size. A large canister with little inside speeds up drying; choose by real consumption.
