This Lodz champagne flute has a bowl in raspberry crystal, a deep, saturated pink, with vertical cutting that opens clear bands down the sides of the bowl. Where the cutting passes through, the color disappears and the crystal turns transparent, creating alternating pink and clear stripes that shift as the glass moves in the hand.
The stem is clear and faceted, with a shaped knot where it meets the bowl, and the base has a star cut. Capacity is 150ml, and the flute stands 27cm high.
The bowl is tall and narrow, with a slightly flared rim. This proportion helps preserve perlage: with less surface exposed to the air, the bubbles rise in a finer, steadier stream instead of dispersing all at once.
The contrast between the colored bowl and the clear stem visually separates the two parts of the flute and makes the color appear suspended above the table. At 27cm high, it sits well above the line of the plates.
Suitable for sparkling wine, Champagne, Prosecco and Cava. The saturated color of the bowl reads best over a light tablecloth, which reflects light upward and brings out the pink tone.
This is a celebratory flute: year-end gatherings, birthdays, a signed contract, a wedding. Because the color is in the crystal rather than an applied coating, it does not fade with use or washing, so the set you buy today will match what you serve with years from now.
150ml.
The color is in the crystal of the bowl. The cutting removes the colored layer in vertical bands, which is why the stripes appear transparent.
Hand washing is recommended. The slender stem and cut base are more vulnerable to vibration and contact with other pieces.
27cm.
